Hand in Hand Care is a home based program. We provide care for ages 2 years and up. Including school age children. During the pre-k years your child is developing rapidly. It is important for them to have daily opportunities for sensory, muscle, social & emotional development. Ex: Sensory ~ puzzles, blocks, sorting, snapping & take apart toys. Muscle ~ Play dough, crayons & markers, painting, art activities to climbing, pushing, pulling, riding & ball play..
Social & Emotional ~ Dress up, house keeping, dolls, & basket or totes for carrying.
Lots of praise and encouragement is imperative at this age.
A Typical Day: Story Time
Singing & Music Activities
Outside Time (including walks to the Park)
Seat Work (curriculum)~When child is ready~
Numbers, Letters, Shapes, Animals & Sounds
Art Activities ~ Coloring, Painting, Drawing, Cut & Pasting
Work on our Manners
Free Time/ Centers
Breakfast, Lunch & Snack
Nap Time
School age children can also learn and grow with us. The curriculum I provide is designed for all ages. All 3 of my children are using it. On different levels of course. If you feel your child needs extra help in a certain subject, or feel they would benefit by continuing their core classes during the summer, we can certainly detail it to meet your childs needs. We can even do a diognostic to see what level their on and where to have them begin the program. ~Planned field trips. ~Possible swim lessons. (depending on the interest level) |
